Solution architect (OSS)

We are now looking to strengthen the regional team in Stockholm with a Solution Architect! 

You will join an amazing team that has a 17-year history of product innovation in high performance computing, data integration and machine learning. Few other companies on the planet can boast the proven extreme performance and scalability that our products do and this is a chance to work among the best!

About the role

In this role, you will become the design authority for all aspects of DigitalRoute’s deployments across the EMEA region. You will be an integral part of the delivery team and work closely with the solution team and our clients.

As a Solution Architect, you will mainly be working with the following tasks:

  • Act as trusted client interface for technical discussions and architectural decisions
  • Understand and drive business opportunities
  • Lead and drive design workshops and to gather business requirements within the specific domain
  • Conclude solution overview and design
  • Guide DigitalRoute´s technical lead during the deliveries
  • Work closely with sales and the solution team to provide technical expertise throughout the sales process

The position is based in central Stockholm, Sweden at our newly renovated office, but the role is operating in the whole EMEA region. This means that you will be traveling frequently to our customers within the region.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone with previous experience as Solution Architect/Technical Lead within OSS.  If you have knowledge in mediation it´s a bonus. 

We also believe that the best candidate for this position is a business-driven architect who thrives on taking initiative to innovate and define creative solutions ultimately delivering the most value to our clients.

We believe that you have: 

  • Knowledge regarding common protocols and interfaces in the mediation and OSS domain such as the different flavors of Diameter, RESTFul APIs, provisioning etc.
  • Good knowledge regarding hardware architecture, setup, and dimensioning.
  • Experience with solution design in the OSS/BSS stack.
  • Good knowledge of the underlying network infrastructures as well as the basic services and business models of Service Providers. Such as VoLTE IMS, SMS, 3G and other types of telco streams and networks.
  • Coding skills
  • College educated, preferably an MSc degree.

About the role

In this role, you will be leading the design of DigitalRoute’s deployments across the EMEA region. You will be working with the interface between DigitalRoute’s platform and the SAP product suite in various domains. Together with SAP, our new premium partner, we are opening up many new markets and opportunities within the EMEA region. Your role in this is to be our representative on this exciting journey!

As a Technical Business Consultant, you will mainly be working with the following tasks:

  • Act as trusted client interface for technical discussions and architectural decisions
  • Understand and drive business opportunities
  • Lead and drive design workshops and to gather business requirements within the specific domain
  • Conclude solution overview and design
  • Guide DigitalRoute´s technical lead during the deliveries
  • Work closely with sales and the solution team to provide technical expertise throughout the sales process

What we are looking for

To be a good fit for the role, we think that you have experience as Technical Business Consultant / Solution architect / Technical lead within some of the areas that DigitalRoute operates in. If you have worked with SAP it is a bonus, but for this role it is more important that you are business-driven and thrives on taking initiative to innovate and define creative solutions ultimately delivering the most value to our clients.

We believe that you have: 

  • Good experience within solution architecture for the specific domain
  • Strong communication skills are of utmost importance. Fluency in both spoken and written English is required
  • Excellent technical presentation skills
  • College educated, preferably an MSc

The Role

We are now looking for a Head of Engineering, reporting to the CTO, to join our team. You will be leading 6 teams of software developers on 2 continents and therefore play a central part in shaping and executing our vision and future direction.
You are great at leading, coaching and mentoring software development teams to deliver software of high quality. You are either an experienced manager that is comfortable leading a highly talented product development organization present in Sweden and Malaysia, or a top-level individual contributor who is looking to make a move to team leadership

As Head of Engineering you will

  • Lead a team of Scrum masters, Engineers, Testers and Technical Writers through hiring, coaching, mentoring and ensuring their team members are highly motivated and have the conditions needed to do a great job.
  • Advocate and advance modern, agile software development practices throughout the Product and Technology organization and ensure inter-working with the rest of the company.
  • Collaborate with Product Management continually build products that our customers love.
  • Participate in product and architectural strategy forums contribute with vision, direction and effective plans to drive our products technology forward
  • Participate and lead architecture discussions and planning together with Product Management and other stakeholders to deliver great software 
  • As part of the Product and Technology department’s management team, work with the CTO and Head of Product Management on or technical vision, roadmap, ensuring that our products are highly competitive.
  • You will drive innovation initiatives like FedEx days and student summer projects in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Kuala Lumpur and whatever greats ideas you come up with the team.

Who you are

  • You are experienced in leading, coaching and mentoring software development teams and delivering stable software of high quality together with the team in a DevOps model.
  • You are comfortable with the nuts and bolts of technology such as high-performance computing, back end programming, public cloud infrastructure (such as AWS) and core IP networking. Knowledge of machine learning, mobile telecommunications networks and billing.
  • Solid experience of working in an agile development environment.
  • A believer in our leadership philosophy that focuses on aligning, empowering and supporting the team to run at full pace, grow in their careers and love their jobs.
